Inspect the pointed leaves and the gaps between them. Fine tips can disappear or retain fragments of the studio background.

White fur needs separation from its surroundings. Check the ears and the lower outline rather than judging only the face.

Look inside the spaces between the legs and under the seat. Pale and blue edge remnants in this example need checking before a product listing.

Check the cup handle and the space inside it. Removing the wooden table also removes its context and can change the appearance of the original shadow.

Inspect the mane, tail, and legs against both light and dark backgrounds. Motion and white fur can make a complete outline difficult to judge.

Check the whiskers and the boundary between dark and white fur. The green scene can leave coloured edges that show clearly on a neutral background.

Inspect each leaf tip and the outline of the pot. Gaps between overlapping leaves should be checked separately from the outside silhouette.

Check the side mirrors, tyres, and lower body against the street photo. Decide whether any original ground shadow belongs in the new composition.

Inspect hair and shoulders on a neutral backdrop. Blue and pink studio lighting is part of the subject and is not corrected by removing the background.

Compare the curved outline and the edge of the stone. A clean silhouette alone does not recreate the original lighting or surface shadow.

Compare the ears, short hair, and sweater shoulders with the dark scene. A light replacement backdrop is useful for spotting dark edge remnants.

This prepared result retains large background regions. Check the full scene around the fur and flower, and try another original when the background remains.

Compare the hairline and flowing strands against both light and dark backdrops. Missing fine hair can change the outline.

Thin frames and translucent lenses are difficult to separate. Check that the frame remains complete and the lenses still look natural.

Inspect the jacket shoulders, ears, and short hair against a light background. The muted scene can make small edge remnants hard to see.

Compare mirrors, wheels, windows, and reflections with the road photo. A car cutout should keep small exterior parts without retaining the surrounding road.

Compare the feet, branch, beak, and tail with the original. Green feathers against green foliage are a difficult separation case.

Check wheel arches, mirrors, and windows against the building scene. Fine trim and reflections need closer inspection than the large body panels.

The gallery pairs original photographs with prepared model outputs. Drag the centre handle, then check thin details and background remnants. These examples include imperfect results so you can see where automated removal needs closer inspection.
For export choices and troubleshooting, read the photo editing guides. Gallery originals are sourced from Unsplash; the displayed results are prepared background-removal examples.
HOW TO READ THESE EXAMPLES
These 22 source photographs are served locally under the Unsplash licence. Their cutouts were prepared offline with the same ORMBG q8 model used by the editor. The original, mask, and commentary are provided together so you can inspect what remains, what disappears, and where another source photo would be more useful.
The offline process resized RGB input to 1024 × 1024, scaled colour values by 1/255, and ran the quantized ONNX model on CPU. It converted the prediction to an alpha mask and resized it to the photo. Display cutouts are limited to 1000 × 1200 pixels. Offline and browser interpolation may differ slightly.
A prepared comparison shows one input and one result, not a promise of accuracy for every upload. Fur, lettering, reflections, and similar colours can be difficult. Check each result on a contrasting backdrop and keep the source for comparison.
Open a prepared cutout in the studio to try backgrounds, or select your own source image to run removal. In a browser check on 10 October 2026, the 1200 × 800 shoe original processed successfully and exported a PNG at the same dimensions with transparent pixels. This is one functional check, not a quality or speed benchmark.
